This is a project of reconstruction of the largest school of Alicante region. Carmelitas school was founded 112 years ago and even its newest wing was already in ruins. Our team did the renovation project of both, 3 and 2-storey buildings of the institution.
The principal areas we operated on were the structural part and accessibility. We strengthened the loadbearing structures: all beams and 60 columns were reinforced with metal profiles, brackets and fittings. Our architects redistributed the interior partitions and spaces of the school so that they adapted to new norms of educational institutions and accessibility for the disabled. Besides, our project has added energy efficiency to the building through renovated and insulated facades and windows.
